Artist Statement

My work lives at the intersection of the spiritual and the earthly; exploring how memory, environment, and invisible forces shape who we are. Through painting and sculpture, I create meditative spaces where viewers can confront their own relationships to belonging and the landscapes that define them.

I oscillate between acrylic and oil paints, primarily working in abstraction by building layers that echo natural forms while resisting literal representation. My paintings are almost ephemeral in nature, visually representing the energy behind the “unseen” that informs our identities. My three-dimensional works incorporate materials that represent resilience, mirroring the rituals that help us navigate uncertainty and ground ourselves in truth. Together, these practices ask: What does it mean to be rooted within a transient human experience?

I’m fascinated by how a “place” imprints itself irreversibly onto a person. In my practice, this translates to an exploration of how urban, natural, and spiritual moments leave their traces on us. Through the culmination of color, shape, weight or texture of a material, I aim to capture the intangibles of the lived experience; expressing the way memories and messages engrain themselves and inform our growth.

Ultimately, I create to honor the spaces where the physical and spiritual meet, and to invite others into that conversation to find their own intersection.
