My work embodies this ideal in the reverse (art imitates life) and investigates art as malleable energy intertwined with the natural world, the experiences, and the spaces in which we immerse ourselves. It instills a sense of accessibility to and familiarity with "art" as a lifestyle essential that was deeply rooted within our existence as humans long before it was classified as such.
Through painting and canvas work, I articulate memories associated with experiences, places, and time periods. By utilizing a limited but rich pallet of colors I aim to represent emotional energy and its transmission between inanimate objects and our hearts and minds. I further explore emotion and place through digital photography - documenting moments and capturing my subject's state of mind while embracing "imperfection" as the purest form of authenticity.
My final discipline employs the elements of earth, water, and air to create natural and living sculptures that represent scenes or objects inherently found on our planet. These works not only study the beautifully delicate balance of microcosms and their parallels to the human spirit but also offer proven holistic benefits by bringing the viewer closer to our place of origin: The Earth.
